Top 5 Saturday Predictions...

So how 'bout them ducks! They destroyed the Huskies with 465 rushing yards, 39 first downs and 55 points! Jonathan Stewart had 251 yards on 32 carries and 2 touchdowns! If it wasn't for their defense giving up 34 points, they looked nearly unstoppable. #9 USC comes to town this Saturday to take on #5 Oregon, look for Oregon run away with a win and finally making their debut in the top 3.

Just as I predicted, South Florida was overrated, a good team, but not deserving of the number 2 spot. Ohio State and LSU barely escaped with wins, but their schedules are far from being a cake walk. This Saturday #1 Ohio State starts the more difficult part of their schedule starting at #25 Penn State. #3 LSU is at #24 Alabama. Also, #2 Boston College is at Virginia Tech #8. I am predicting now that 2 of the top 3 teams will lose this Saturday. The only credible team in the top 3 is LSU and will most likely be the only team to escape with a win.
How do you barley escape with a win over a 1-7 team, have a loss to a .500 team and still be in the top 4?!? Oklahoma is not a top 5 team at this point and will show their true colors in the couple of weeks...well, except for the fact that they're playing in the big 12. Of course I wouldn't mind seeing another Oklahoma vs. Oregon title game.

Now this is a much better blog. Showing your support without being insane! However, my thoughts are a bit different. I think the entire top 25 is a joke and should be thrown out and re-done! So many of the statistics this year are screwed up because of "fluke" wins. Besides that I think they need to re-evaluate the conferences and determine AGAIN whether a team should be Div-I or not! For that matter, they need to completely re-design the whole BCS system!

justin, are you ever going to repond to my comments, or do you realize, after you read them, that I was right and you can't retort? look for ohio st to lose, and the #1 spot be filled by your favorite team...LSU. they may be a 1 loss team, but they are still currently the best team in the country. it will be hard for oregon to move up in the polls after they lose this weekend, don't you agree?

LSU is a good team. I don't know if I can say they're the best team yet (they did get beat by an overrated Kentucky team that's lucky to only have two loses on the year). If the USC vs. Oregon game was at SC, I would give the game to the Trojans, but it's not. It's in one of the toughest stadiums in the country, Autzen. I don't think USC will score enough points against the Ducks to pull off a win. By the way, we'll see if Miles and the Tigers can get past 'Bama and Saban this weekend (Roll Tide!) So no, I don't agree.

thats a good point. usc probably wont be able to score very many points. washington was only able to put up 34 against the mighty ducks, and they are having a stellar season so far. its to bad that usc's offense is so poor.
kentucky is overrated? who did they lose to? south carolina and florida; man kentucky are shocking, didnt they beat LSU? but then again, utah has beat ucla and louisville and where has that got them?

My point was that USC won't score as much as the Ducks. Oregon does not have a stellar defense, but has arguably the best offense in the country. USC will put up points, just not enough to win this game.
Kentucky barely pulled off a win against a weak (.500) Louisville team. South Carolina (who beat Kentucky) lost to "mighty" Vanderbilt. Kentucky was and still is overrated and they beat LSU. By the way, LSU is lucky to not have 3 loses right now.
If Utah showed a little more consistencey they would be ranked, getting shut out by UNLV doesn't help much. If BYU wins this next game, they should be ranked! What do you think of that?

why wait until the next game...i think BYU should be ranked after their dominant performance this past week against eastern washington st mary's of the bleeding heart. top quality team all around.
